Like versions before, this is designed with comfort and breathability in mind: It’s been made with “a unique air-mesh construction” but also has internal finger tip protection and good padding beneath the high visibility ‘hazard’ striped palms.

There’s a standard Puma T-bar across to the thumbs which conforms to all ICC standards and a nicely contoured cuff to protect the wrist section whilst still allowing movement.

The lime green and turquoise striping really does take a bit of getting used to and for this reviewer at least, the gloves were stubbornly flat – difficult to curve around a ball to catch, and they really didn’t form a welcoming pouch that a pair of full size gloves in a more traditional style would. Obviously, that’s just a personal opinion and the under-13s loved them!
